As a global leader in gas turbines and power plant technologies and services, we are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the execution of Simple and Combined Cycle projects within our Heavy Duty Gas Power business. In this role, you will be accountable for the full project lifecycle, from contract signing through completion of all contractual obligations. You will ensure customer satisfaction by effectively managing project activities, resources, timelines, and cross-functional teams, while driving successful delivery of customer equipment, facilities, or infrastructure projects. This role also carries responsibility for project delivery, profit and loss performance, and adherence to budgets and operating plans. Working with moderate to high autonomy, you will use strong evaluative judgment and operational acumen to influence outcomes, improve ways of working, and support business objectives.Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer & Stakeholder LeadershipServe as first and primary customer contact for assigned projectsLead customer engagement, negotiations, and issue resolution to ensure successful project outcomesManage and align multiple internal and external stakeholders including customers, partners, contractors, and vendors to achieve project targets and deliverablesInfluence peers and stakeholders to adopt alternative perspectives or solutions when required for problem solvingProject Execution & GovernanceDirect the end-to-end execution of mega, complex, non-turnkey, and product/equipment-only projectsDevelop early execution strategies in partnership with the ITO Commercial Manager and ensure successful transition into project executionCoordinate contract reviews to ensure full alignment on requirements, scope, and obligationsManage project execution with an SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) lens and provide the framework for "go and see" to best continuously improve. Financial and Performance OwnershipFull profit and loss responsibility, including Revenue, Contribution Margin, and CashSteer ownership and accountability with mentorship to the teams on key project performance metricsAlign teams when trade-offs arise between cost, schedule, performance, and risk. Develops and manages the risk register with mitigation actionRisk, EHS & CompliancePromote and drive GEV's Safety Toolkit on project teams, partners, and subcontractors, placing health and safety above all other priorities, even under pressure. Develop and maintain the Risk & Opportunity Register, including mitigation actionsUtilize multiple internal and external inputs to support sound, risk-based decision makingTechnical, Functional & Thought LeadershipDevelop deep expertise within project execution and/or technical discipline, serving as a subject matter expert where applicableInterpret internal and external business challenges and drive best practices to improve products, processes, or servicesOperational & Manufacturing Problem SolvingLead teams to develop creative solutions within complex manufacturing, engineering, or production environmentsEmploy advanced operational, engineering, and product management techniques across interdependent workstreamsCollaborate closely with partnering functions to resolve cross-functional issues and execution constraintsTeam Leadership & Matrix ManagementProvide direct or indirect leadership of project teams and resources with moderate to high complexity, risk, and scaleSupport Functional Project Managers with escalations across functions, customers, and partnersPresent project, business, or technical solutions to internal and external senior leadership teamsInfluence without authority in a matrix organization to drive unified executionBasic QualificationsBachelor's Degree from an accredited college or universityMinimum 4 years of Project Management experience within Energy, Construction, or large capital project environmentsFlexibility to travel occasionally to customer sites and other locations to support project execution up to 25-30% of the time.Desired CharacteristicsExperience and demonstrated understanding of large capital project execution costs and estimates.Certified Project Management ProfessionalField experience, Project Management, or equivalent experience.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple phased projects simultaneously and independently.Demonstrated strong customer focus and the ability to foster strong relationships; Experience working with and influencing senior level leaders. Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem solving, business and financial acumen.Strong oral and written communication skills. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
