Overview Maintenance Technician Specialist – 3rd Shift About the Opportunity DirectPath Recruiting Services is partnering with a leading Tier One automotive manufacturer to identify a skilled Maintenance Technician Specialist for a high-volume, highly automated manufacturing facility in Monroe, Ohio. This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with strong electrical, controls, and PLC troubleshooting experience , who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Position Overview The Maintenance Technician Specialist provides advanced technical and engineering-level support to plant operations, with a focus on electrical systems, automation, PLC controls, and process optimization . This position plays a key role in maintaining equipment reliability, improving uptime, enhancing safety, and supporting production performance during 3rd shift operations. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, automation, and controls-related issues Perform Allen-Bradley PLC troubleshooting and programming changes as required Optimize process control parameters for new and existing equipment Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve uptime Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions Drive equipment and process improvements focused on safety, efficiency, and cost reduction Perform capacity studies and analyze equipment performance Support TPS and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant Coordinate contractors, vendors, and integrators for maintenance and controls projects Assist with customer, supplier, and vendor quality investigations Train and support production and maintenance team members on equipment and control systems Maintain strong safety compliance, attendance, and documentation standards Qualifications Associate degree from a technical or trade school, or equivalent hands-on experience 2+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, controls, or automation Strong hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical systems Proven experience troubleshooting and programming Allen-Bradley PLCs Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, PLC drawings, and control diagrams Experience working with maintenance manuals, SOPs, and safety documentation Strong communication skills with the ability to support and train team members Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Ability or willingness to obtain certifications for powered industrial equipment (forklifts, lifts, etc.) $35–$40/hour Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with company contribution Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Holidays Benefits Why This Role Stands Out Highly automated, modern production facility Strong emphasis on PLCs, controls, and advanced maintenance Competitive hourly pay with long-term stability Opportunity to expand technical skill set and career growth #J-18808-Ljbffr DirectPath Recruiting Services
