Primary responsibility of the QA Analyst is to understand the requirements, design the test outlines and the manual test scripts, mine the test data, Executing manual test scripts, Logging the defects, following up with the development team and updating the ALM. On day today basis QA Analyst will be responsible for participating in the daily stand up meeting, QA Scrum calls, Defect triage calls, assist the Lead QA on ad hoc test requests, provide status on daily basis and work with the onshore, offshore team & UAT Teams. QA analyst will be required to participant in the Test Planning, Sprint Planning, Tech or business Grooming sessions.Qualification:• Must have 4 years of college degree or U.S. equivalent of the same. • Must have 3-4 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance testing various Database, Web Based, Middle Ware, Backend applications. • Must have thorough understanding of SDLC, Waterfall & Agile Software Development methodology. • Should be self-learner and be able to work with minimum guidance.Technical Skills:• Must have 2 years of experience in Financial industry. Should have working knowledge of 401K,403B,457, IRA plans. • Preferred to have experience in SunGard Omni Station Record Keeping System.• Must have experience in testing Web Services via SOAP UI, Middleware, Web Based Applications and Database validation, backend applications. • Must have experience working in Agile Software Development methodology. • Must have experience with Functional Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, Regression and User Acceptance Testing.• Must have experience in Analyzing the requirements, design manual test scripts, execute the scripts, mine test data, raise ambiguities and defect. • Should be capable of working with large team size & coordinate with various team members, BA, developers, QA Lead, QA manager, DBAs, UAT etc. • Should have thorough understanding of the defect life cycle. • Should have intermediate to expert level experience in writing and optimizing the SQL Queries. • Should have experience in version control & configuration management & Software Build management. • Should be expert in test management tools such as IBM RTC,JIRA, ALM/Quality Center. • Should have worked in the Offshore/onshore delivery model. • Should be familiar with Software Test Automation concepts. • Must be technical, creative, detail-oriented, and a strong team playerBasic qualifications5 years of manual backend testing experience working with ALM /QCThis position is only available to those interested in direct staff employment opportunities with NTT DATA, Inc. or its subsidiaries.
