Overview Core Impact Areas include safety program excellence and implementation, and associate advocacy and cultural leadership. The role emphasizes data-driven safety programs, daily safety audits, incident investigations, risk assessments, safety training, continuous improvement, and building strong partnerships across all levels to promote a proactive safety culture and meaningful behavioral changes. Responsibilities Lead safety programs through data-driven strategies; conduct daily safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments; implement innovative solutions to prevent injuries. Deliver engaging safety training and champion continuous improvement to enhance safety while maintaining operational efficiency. Advocate for associates\' wellbeing, foster a culture where safety is everyone\'s priority, and transform safety data into compelling narratives that drive engagement. Build relationships with frontline associates and leadership to influence safety practices and ensure they become natural habits. Maintain the ability to adjust approaches based on site-specific conditions and safety data insights. Additional Job Elements Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts Work in environments with variable noise levels and temperatures Climb and descend stairs (where applicable) Provide emergency care as needed and assist with site emergency response Qualifications Basic Qualifications High school or equivalent Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910 A minimum of 1 year in an environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field OR a bachelor\'s degree in an EHS-related background OR 6 months experience in a safety-related role within Amazon Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity Experience maintaining confidentiality in matters involving security and/or personal issues in the workplace Preferred Qualifications Bachelor\'s degree or higher, preferably in a safety-related field Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer focus skills Experience leading and managing a team; ability to analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns and conduct job hazard and job safety analyses Experience in emergency response and current First Aid and CPR certificates Experience in workers\' compensation case management Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
