Blending Machine Operator

Join our team as a Blending Machine Operator, where you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic production environment. You will be responsible for operating blending machines and handling packaging tasks to ensure products meet quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate blending machines to dispense powder into bags.
• Palletize bags for continuous shipment.
• Perform lifting and stacking of bags weighing 50+ lbs.
• Conduct visual inspections to ensure quality standards.
• Weigh bags to ensure the correct amount is dispensed.
• Perform basic mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production and food manufacturing.
• General labor skills including forklift operation.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 6 months of experience in a manufacturing or factory setting.
• Experience in the food industry is preferred.
• Prior forklift experience is a plus, or a willingness to learn forklift operation.

Work Environment

You will work in an open production environment. A hair net, boots, and gloves are required; steel-toed boots are necessary but not provided. You will have a personal locker (lock and boots must remain at the facility). Gloves and hair nets are provided. You will work in a blending room with 1-2 other people, handling tasks such as filling bags from a funnel, weighing, sealing, and stacking products. Expect to stand, bend, lift, and move 50 lbs bags throughout your workday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sleepy Eye, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00/hr.
