-As a Director Sourcing your goal is to direct the global sourcing of direct and indirect materials and services for the company. You’ll also establish sourcing and supplier segmentation strategy for the company to achieve a competitive advantage from the supply base in cost, quality, delivery and innovation. #LI-MD1 #LI-HybridYou will do this by:Developing strategies across thousands of suppliers and millions of manufacturing Bill of Material components while working with purchasing teams to leverage spendLeading development of methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to improve sourcing, purchasing and and contract manufacturing processesServing as lead negotiator for the company and identifying, qualifying and selecting suppliersImplementing lean supply chains and identifying low cost country sourcing opportunitiesMaintaining global standard operating procedures for the Sourcing and Purchasing functionsOverseeing supplier audits to assess financial wellness, social responsibility, trade compliance and quality processes to meet international standardsPreparing annual budgets and providing guidance for key commodities and annual purchase price variance and cost reduction forecastsInteracting regularly with the CFO, Division Presidents and top executives at major suppliersSupporting continuous improvement/artificial intelligence (AI) projects to maintain capable sourcing, purchasing and contract manufacturing processesSupporting supplier development and ensures all suppliers implement the company’s supplier quality systemEngaging in supply continuity issues as an escalation pointProviding analysis and recommendations for low cost country suppliers to include a comprehensive assessment of economic trends, risks and opportunitiesDirecting the work of groups of employees (leads through managers and other professionals)The above statements are intended only to describe the general nature of the job and should not be construed as an all-inclusive list of position responsibilities.
