Data AnalystAt Tactile Medical, we specialize in developing at-home therapy devices to treat lymphedema, chronic venous insufficiency and respiratory illnesses.The Data Analyst will discover valuable information in large data sets and help Tactile Medical make smarter decisions to deliver better products and optimize operations. We are looking for a motivated Data Analyst to deliver clear insights into the operations and development teams and leadership. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to use mathematical and statistical expertise and will have a natural curiosity to gain knowledge through the independent creation of thoughtful analyses tied to company goals. The candidate must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations.Accountabilities & ResponsibilitiesDevelop, maintain, and distribute data reporting tools for manufacturing, supply chain, shipping, and product developmentWork with Operations, Digital Solutions, and other stakeholders to understand reporting needsFill knowledge gaps through creative application of data resulting in clear and reliable data reportingDesign and maintain models, metrics, reports, and dashboards that help stakeholders better understand the business trendsCollaborate across multiple teams to understand business needs and analyze complex data while communicating recommendationsAnalyze structured and unstructured data from medical devices, ERP systems, and cloud platforms to uncover trends and opportunitiesDevelop requirements, processes, and documentation for reporting on data-related projectsEmbrace working toward the end goal of helping others live a better quality of lifeSupport day-to-day business needs surrounding system and data related tasksContribute to publication-grade data analysis using datasets provided by the Digital Solutions team, supporting research and thought leadership initiativesSupport IoT-related use cases by evaluating device usage data and informing quality metricsEducation & Experience:Bachelors Degree in Data Analytics or in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field, with a focus on Data Analytics1+ years of relevant experience in data analytics, data science, and/or a quantitative fieldKnowledge & Skills:Excellent communication, analytical and collaborative problem-solving skills in applying analytical methods to real world problems with measurable outcomesEngage in statistical and exploratory analysis of datasets from medical device dataExperience in setting analytics frameworks or strategies for complex scenariosPlay a role in defining, monitoring, and reporting on key product performance metricsExperience in an ERP systems collecting dataExperience in R, Python, or similar scripting languageExperience with data visualization and presentation tools, such as Power BIDemonstrable record of accomplishment dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in an agile, dynamic regulated environmentCompetencies:AnalyticalTechnical ExpertiseDetail OrientedResearch and DevelopmentTeam LeadershipFlexibleCollaborationCommunicationCritical ThinkingPeer RelationshipsProblem SolvingOur total compensation package includes medical, dental and vision benefits, retirement benefits, employee stock purchase plan, paid time off, parental leave, family medical leave, volunteer time off and additional leave programs, life insurance, disability coverage, and other life and work wellness benefits and discounts. Below is the starting salary or hourly range for this position, although offers may differ based on the candidate's location, job-specific knowledge, skills and experience.US Pay Range$61,500 - $86,205 USD
