Director of Nursing - Emergency Services

Job Description


A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead Emergency Services operations across multiple emergency care locations. This role is responsible for operational leadership, staffing, budgeting, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and clinical leadership for Emergency Services
• Oversee staffing, budgeting, productivity, and department performance
• Supervise and support nursing leadership teams
• Lead hiring, employee development, and performance management
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
• Drive patient satisfaction and quality improvement initiatives
• Monitor department operations, chart audits, and incident follow-up
• Collaborate with hospital leadership and ancillary departments

Job Requirements

• BSN required; Master's preferred
• Minimum 3 years of Emergency Department experience
• Previous management experience required
• Strong leadership, operational, and communication skills
• Current South Carolina RN license
• Current BLS/CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications
