Membership And Benefits Coordinator
Apex Systems is hiring a Membership and Benefits Coordinator for a major Healthcare company.
Location: Fully remote in OR/WA/CA/or CO
Employment Type: 6-month contract with possibility to extend or convert.
Role Overview: We are seeking multiple Membership and Benefits Coordinators to join a healthcare client. This is a remote, contract position for candidates located in Oregon, Washington, California, or Colorado (will need to work PST). The role involves working with sales and marketing teams to set up new benefit plans for employer groups, requiring a solid understanding of insurance plan structures and back-end setup processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up new benefit plans for groups choosing the insurance platform.
- Review and audit insurance and patient data before inputting it into benefit groups.
- Perform ongoing audits of benefits data to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with peers in a team environment to resolve cases efficiently.
- Provide timely feedback on issues that might affect multiple members.
- Adapt to ongoing process changes as the team transitions to new projects.
Required Qualifications:
Education: A high school diploma or GED is required.
Experience: A background in the health insurance industry is required, with specific experience in enrollment, billing, claims processing, or health plan administration.
Skills:
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
- Experience reviewing and auditing data for accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
- Ability to learn new software and systems quickly, but previous knowledge of healthcare systems is a huge plus!
Compensation & Benefits: The pay rate for this position is $25.00 to $30.00 per hour. The role is scheduled for Monday through Friday during standard PST business hours. Benefits include access to health, dental, vision, a 401k plan, and a weekly pay structure.
