Job Title Homemaker/Housekeeper Department Caring, Inc. Assisted Living Reports To Administrator of Assisted Living Program and Director of the Assisted Living Programs Effective Date 08/08/2023 Job Summary The housekeeper shall be responsible for the cleanliness & neatness of resident apartments. Responsibilities Maintains a working relationship with the Assisted Living Administrators, the Director of Nursing and all other nursing staff. Maintains a professional relationship with all residents. Maintains confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to residents, facility operations and other personnel. Maintains residents' privacy and dignity. Encourages residents to maintain their independence. Has a full understanding of fire, emergency, and safety procedures. Adheres to policies and procedures and standards regarding infection control. Has a full understanding of the hazards and safety of oxygen used by residents. Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of residents’ apartments. Cleans refrigerator, checks for spoiled or outdated food. Cleans stove/oven. Vacuum and dust. Strip and remake bed weekly. Cleans the bathroom, including floor, vanity, toilet, and shower/tub. Removes trash from residents’ apartments. Reports any changes noted in residents to the Nurse or Administrator. Reports any unsafe equipment to the administrator. Maintains the cleanliness and neatness of the storage room and inventory of supplies. Abides by established guidelines of the facility and governing regulations. Any other responsibilities deemed necessary by the administrator. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred. 1 year housekeeping experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr Caring INC
