Medical Technologist As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for performing complex medical laboratory tests for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. You will work under the supervision of medical technologists and pathologists to analyze specimens and provide accurate test results to healthcare providers. Responsibilities Collect and analyze bodily fluids, tissues, and other substances for testing Operate and maintain laboratory equipment Conduct quality control checks on equipment and reagents Interpret and report test results accurately Maintain accurate records of tests performed Follow laboratory safety guidelines and protocols Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure accurate and timely test results Stay up-to-date on new laboratory techniques and technologies Assist with training of new laboratory staff Participate in research projects and quality improvement initiatives Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a teamKnowledge of laboratory procedures and protocols Experience with laboratory equipment and technology Strong problem-solving skills Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks Commitment to patient care and confidentiality #J-18808-Ljbffr ANCESTOR HEALTH
