Shift: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with any experience within the last 36 months (3 years).

• 3 months of MEDHOST experience is preferred.

• 12 months of acute care experience.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Missouri license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: HealthTrust Program - Community Health Systems (CHS) and no current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - Community Health Systems (CHS).

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Rehab/Med Surg experience required. In addition to meeting the unit experience requirements, your work experience needs to reflect at least 12 months (1 year) of uninterrupted experience working in the same unit/specialty you’re applying to.

Special Requests: Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit. If multiple shifts are posted, only apply to your preferred shift. Blocked scheduling requests may be accommodated. No week on/week off.

Unit Details: Patient ratio is 1:10 for swing patients only. Provide nursing care for up to 10 inpatient rehab (swing) patients. May absorb Med Surg patients if swing volume drops. These patients require less nurse-intensive care than traditional Med Surg patients but nothing different from a skill standpoint.

Shift & Scheduling: Weekends required. No standing call. May be placed on call if volume supports but no more than the 48hrs of call-off time already in the standard contract. Flexible contract hours: 48 per week may be accommodated.

Floating Requirements: Mainly to Med Surg only for patient assignments. May be floated to other units for tasking only with existing competencies.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
