Medical Technician

Location: Englewood, FL
Position Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Full-time • Nights (Rotating Weekends)
Compensation: $20 - $30/ Hour

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Technician to perform accurate and timely laboratory testing. This role involves working with various lab disciplines, ensuring compliance with protocols, and supporting patient care through high-quality diagnostic results.

• Perform accurate and timely laboratory testing , including proficiency testing samples within required timelines
• Execute stat testing procedures within established turnaround times
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
• Interpret and correlate patient results using critical thinking and independent judgment (including delta checks)
• Review pending and result logs , resolving outstanding work or communicating with team members
• Perform quality control procedures and manage critical or problematic test results
• Assume department responsibilities in the absence of a supervisor when required

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Medical Technology or related field (required)
• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology (preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Technician (preferred)
• Active Florida State Technologist License (required)
• Certification in one or more clinical areas ( Generalist preferred ):

  • Chemistry
  • Hematology
  • Microbiology
