Our aim isn’t just about improving buildings; it’s about creating perfect places that improve people’s lives.Transform the everyday with us!The Area Fire Solutions Sales Manager is committed to promoting Siemens' strong market position for delivering smart building technology for Fire Alarm Solutions (new construction) to help our customers create outstanding experiences for their customers. Our Sales Managers lead a team responsible for transforming buildings to be digitally connected and controlled and with your strong leadership skills and passion for team building you’ll help find and hire top talent, develop employees, and promote long-term retention.  As an Area Fire Solutions Sales Manager you will:Promote team selling and expansion of existing relationships across divisions and/or geographic areasAct as a resource to sales employees regarding our products, applications, and services; support the sales process through all phases, including job turnover and implementationCommunicate goals, provide mentoring to develop skills, lead employee performance, and conduct performance appraisals; coach sellers to strategically assess customer needs and identify customer buying prioritiesReview bids to ensure accuracy to meet company and customer objectives; assist employees in setting margins, identifying resources, and assessing future business and establish executive-level relationships with targeted contractors and customersNetwork with field organization, headquarters, and other Siemens' divisions to gain knowledge of offerings; share knowledge with your team and other employees; develop sales forecasts and provide input to sales targetsAssist the sales team in identifying market opportunities; develop strategies to improve impact to the company; participate in development of long-range sales planning and growth strategies Articulate and drive our digitalization strategy, remote services, and big data analytics; maintain trade contacts and participate in industry association functions Travel overnight 10% on average for training and business developmentYou will make an impact with these qualifications:Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or state-recognized GED8+ years of sales experience and proven track record within the commercial Fire/Life Safety industryMust be able to demonstrate:Technical proficiency in commercial Fire Alarm/Fire Life Safety industryAbility to interpret job specifications and drawings to coach sellers in developing winning strategiesWorking knowledge and understanding of contracting business with tier of contractorsOrganizational, presentation, and negotiation skillsMust be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle programLegally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or EngineeringManagement experience in the construction industryProficiency with Salesforce CRMNICET Level II (or higher) Certification in Fire Ready to create your own journey? Join us today!About SiemensWe are a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare. From more resource-efficient factories, resilient supply chains, and smarter buildings and grids, to sustainable transportation as well as advanced healthcare, we create technology with purpose adding real value for customers.  Our Commitment to Equity and Inclusion in our Diverse Global WorkforceWe value your unique identity and perspective. Details regarding our benefits can be found here: The pay range for this position is $112,669 - $193,147 annually with a target incentive of 25% of the base salary.
