As part of the Engineering and Project Delivery team, you will establish engineering standards, lead estimating and technical design functions, and work directly with the Chief Operating Officer, Senior Director of Project Management, Operations, EPC teams, Sales, and Executive Leadership. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving engineering excellence, improving project execution, reducing costs, and creating standardized processes that support InCharge Energy's continued growth.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and develop Electrical Engineers, Designers, Estimators, CAD personnel, and QA/QC teams while establishing a high-performing engineering organization
  • Own and maintain company engineering standards for EV charging infrastructure, battery energy storage systems (BESS), solar, microgrids, medium-voltage systems, switchgear, utility interconnections, and EV charging estimating
  • Develop standardized drawing packages, bill of material (BOM) libraries, ROM estimating templates, engineering specifications, and quality assurance processes to improve consistency and scalability
  • Drive engineering innovation through design automation, AI-assisted engineering tools, and template-based project execution to improve efficiency and reduce engineering costs
  • Partner closely with EPC Operations, Construction, and Project Management teams to reduce RFIs, change orders, field engineering issues, and project execution risk
  • Serve as the company's technical authority for NEC compliance, protection and coordination studies, grounding systems, commissioning, utility coordination, and engineering best practices
  • Support strategic sales opportunities, customer presentations, and executive-level technical discussions while evaluating emerging technologies including Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G), Distributed Energy Resources (DER), load management, and energy management systems

Your Experience and Capabilities

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's degree preferred
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in electrical engineering, engineering management, or EPC project delivery
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE); multi-state licensure preferred
  • Extensive experience with medium-voltage electrical systems, commercial power systems, EV charging infrastructure, battery energy storage systems (BESS), distributed energy resources (DER), microgrids, and utility interconnections
  • Strong customer-facing leadership experience with the ability to present technical solutions to executive stakeholders
  • Experience reviewing cost estimates to assure accurate, market-based pricing and cost-efficient designs
  • Experience developing engineering standards, quality management systems, estimating processes, and standardized design documentation
  • Experience using AutoCAD, electrical design software, engineering automation tools, AI-assisted design technologies, and estimating platforms
  • Strategic, collaborative, innovative, quality-focused, highly organized, results-driven, and capable of leading organizational change

Physical and Environmental Demands

  • Ability to conduct field site walks and inspections at customer facilities and construction sites
  • Ability to travel approximately 20–30% domestically
  • This position is based in Richmond, VA, Fort Worth, TX, or South Los Angeles, CA and operates in a collaborative office environment with regular visits to customer and project sites

Whatever your decision, it will not be considered in the hiring process or thereafter. Any information that you do provide will be recorded and maintained in a confidential file.

As set forth in InCharge Energy’s Equal Employment Opportunity policy, we do not discriminate on the basis of any protected group status under any applicable law.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305

OMB Control Number 1250-0005

Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do this. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at
