Project Manager (Manufacturing / Defense Products) i2k Defense | Azusa, CA | Full-time, exempt, on-site | $75,000-$90,000 per year, depending on experience | Reports to the Plant Manager / COO About us i2k Defense is a veteran-owned U.S. manufacturer of custom inflatable military decoys, targets, shelters, and training products. We build in our 30,000+ sq ft Azusa facility, and our customers depend on us to deliver on time and to spec. The role You will own customer and internal projects from order through delivery, including Expeditionary Shelters, decoys, and custom builds. You'll plan the work, coordinate engineering, production, quality, and purchasing, and keep each project on schedule, on budget, and on spec. What you'll do - Manage multiple manufacturing projects at once, from contract or PO review through build, inspection, and shipment - Build and maintain project schedules, milestones, and budgets, and report status to the Plant Manager / COO - Turn customer requirements and drawings into clear work packages and build plans for the shop floor - Coordinate materials, vendors, and purchasing so long-lead items arrive when needed - Work with production and QC to resolve issues early, and manage change requests and scope - Serve as the main point of contact for customers on schedule, deliverables, and documentation - Track cost, labor, and delivery performance, and flag risks before they become delays - Support quality documentation, inspections, and DoD/government contract requirements Must-have qualifications - 3+ years managing projects in a manufacturing, fabrication, or defense/government contracting environment - Proven experience managing schedules, budgets, and cross-functional teams - Strong communication skills with customers, vendors, and the shop floor - Proficiency with MS Office, project scheduling tools, and ERP/CRM (Zoho a plus) Preferred - Experience working closely with production crews - PMP/CAPM or similar certification - Familiarity with government contracting, ITAR, or quality systems (ISO 9001 / AS9100) What we offer Competitive salary, PTO, and a direct role in building products that support U.S. and allied forces.
