Shipping and receiving associate

We are looking for a dependable Shipping and Receiving Assistant to keep our inventory moving and keep our team running smoothly! In this vital role, you will be responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, inventory control, and shipment of products, parts, and equipment. You will serve as a key support resource for our Service Department by ensuring the timely processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments (utilizing UPS WorldShip, FedEx, DHL, and LTL), maintaining strict inventory accuracy, coordinating repair intake activities, and proactively contacting suppliers to resolve any shipping discrepancies. This position plays an important role in maintaining our overall operational efficiency by ensuring that customer orders, repair equipment, inventory transactions, and facility upkeep are handled accurately and with care. Because you will also assist with basic technical and administrative tasks-as well as day-to-day warehouse operations-this active role requires regular bending, lifting, standing, and walking throughout the day.

salary: $20 - $25 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

• Shipping and receiving of all packages, including loading and unloading shipments.
• Interface with shipping carriers and representatives (e.g., UPS, FedEx, DHL, freight providers).
• Process and fulfill new parts orders.
• Ensure that all equipment received for repair is accompanied by a valid RMA number and supporting
documentation.
• Maintain inventory control by monitoring the flow of parts and equipment in and out of inventory.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low-stock items requiring replenishment.
• Conduct inventory pre-counts and assist with physical inventory counts twice annually.
• Perform basic assembly of non-inventory parts and accessories.
• Support the Service Department with basic technical repair and maintenance duties as assigned.
• Answer, screen, and reroute incoming service calls.
• Assist with general warehouse organization, cleanliness, and limited building maintenance activities

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment
• wearing steel toe shoes
• working in a non-temperature controlled environment
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• working up to 1 hrs of overtime per week
