Overview: Insight Global is seeking a Network Technician II to support the day-to-day operations of an enterprise network infrastructure.

This individual will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and monitoring the University's network and telecommunications environment. The role requires a strong customer-service mindset and hands-on experience supporting LAN/WAN connectivity, desktop systems, voice/data communications, network hardware, and end-user support. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded IT professional who enjoys troubleshooting technical issues, working directly with users, and supporting enterprise network operations.

Responsibilities

• Configure, install, test, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain network hardware and software
• Support LAN/WAN infrastructure, voice and data communications systems, desktop hardware, and peripheral devices
• Troubleshoot network connectivity, telecommunications, and remote access issues
• Monitor network performance and respond to outages or service disruptions
• Restart and recover network services following interruptions using diagnostic tools and software
• Provide Tier II technical support for network, desktop, and telecommunications-related incidents
• Track, document, and resolve support requests through the help desk ticketing system
• Perform routine network administration activities including:
• • User account provisioning and deprovisioning
  • Access management and permissions
  • Hardware and software inventory management
  • Security policy compliance
• Assist with software updates, hardware upgrades, equipment deployments, and desktop migrations
• Run system backups and support disaster recovery initiatives
• Train and support end users on hardware and software functionality
• Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and internal IT teams on network projects and infrastructure improvements
• Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, troubleshooting efforts, and operational procedures

Must Haves

• At least 2  years of experience supporting enterprise network infrastructure, desktop support, or telecommunications environments
• Strong understanding of:
• • TCP/IP
  • DNS
  • DHCP
  • VLANs
  • Routing & Switching
  • LAN/WAN technologies
• Familiarity with Active Directory user administration and access management

Plusses

• CCNA preferred
• Network+ preferred
• Cisco ICE knowledge
• Cisco Prime knowledge
