Pharmacy TechnicianA hospital located northeast of Columbus, OH in Centerburg is hiring a Pharmacy Technician to support its inpatient pharmacy team. This role assists and supports licensed pharmacists in delivering medications and pharmacy services to patients, working in a small town setting with easy access to the Columbus metro area.Schedule: Full time, 4 days per week, 10 hour shifts. Start times between 7am and 9am, with rotating shifts of 7am to 5:30pm, 8am to 6:30pm, or 9am to 7:30pm. Includes 1 weekend per month and 1 to 2 holidays per year.Compensation: $37,500 to $48,000 annually, depending on experience.What You'll Do: This role supports licensed pharmacists in providing health care and medications to patients, acting as a liaison between the public and the pharmacist while preparing and distributing medications and maintaining patient records. The Technician orders, receives, and stocks pharmacy medications in a timely and accurate manner, performs sterile IV compounding, and completes Pyxis filling. Additional responsibilities include performing medication histories, restocking crash carts, receiving medication orders, and maintaining drug inventory. All tasks are performed under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, in adherence to organizational policies, regulatory and accrediting body requirements, and professional practice standards.Required Qualifications:Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of OhioPharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) from PTCB, or ability to obtain certification within one year of hireExperience with sterile IV compoundingPreferred Qualifications:Prior experience in an inpatient or hospital pharmacy settingExperience with automated dispensing systems such as PyxisExperience performing medication historiesCompensation and Benefits:$37,500 to $48,000 annually, depending on experienceFull benefits packageMedical, dental, and vision insurance401k retirement planPaid time offTo apply, submit your resume for consideration.
