Concrete CarpenterAs a Concrete Carpenter at Thompson, your primary responsibility will be to build and install the formwork that shapes concrete into foundational structures, such as walls, columns, and slabs. Typical duties include:Coordinating with Project Leaders to understand the scope of workReading and interpreting blueprints, schematics and other technical drawingsMeasuring, cutting, and shaping lumber or other material into structural moldsConstructing and preparing structural forms according to blueprintsUsing a wide variety of hand and power tools, such as drills, saws, and hammersCleaning and performing general routine maintenance on tools and equipmentRegularly checking completed forms to ensure the highest quality and accuracyFollowing all company-mandated, as well as OSHA safety guidelines onsiteAssisting with general labor duties as directed by Foreman/Project ManagerParticipating in post-project evals to identify "lessons learned" for the futureRequirements:Must have at least 1+ year of concrete carpentry experienceBasic knowledge of setting forms for bulkheads, walls, columns & slabsUnderstanding of the terms 'plumb', 'level' &'straight' as it relates to concreteOSHA 10 Certification (Thompson will train, if necessary)CPR & First Aid Certification (Thompson will train, if necessary)Shift Details: 1st Shift (work hours vary, depending on project needs)Thompson's Mission, Vision & Values: By honoring God, we will become a nationally preferred concrete and excavation provider.
