Physical Therapist - Travel Contract

Traveling Physical Therapist Opportunity

Join a home health team in Roanoke, VA as a traveling Physical Therapist. Provide skilled physical therapy services to patients in their homes, supporting recovery from injury and management of chronic conditions. The role requires admitting patients to PT services, conducting evaluations, developing and implementing treatment plans, documenting patient progress, and coordinating care with the interdisciplinary team. Candidates must be able to travel within the coverage area to deliver patient care.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
• Active Virginia Physical Therapist license required to start the assignment.
• Physical Therapist professional certification required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
• Minimum experience admitting and managing home health patients requiring physical therapy services.
• Ability to travel between patient homes within Roanoke, Salem, Franklin County, Bedford County, and Craig County.
• Minimum education requirement: Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in home health settings.
• Strong communication skills and flexibility in scheduling and patient visit needs.
• Dependable, patient-centered approach to care.

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 0800-1600 (Monday through Friday schedule noted as 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.).
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 40.
• Mileage reimbursement provided between patient visits, from first patient to last patient.
• Coverage area includes Roanoke, Salem, Franklin County, Bedford County, and Craig County; travel between patient homes required.

Impacting Patient Care
