Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital provides mental health and substance use disorder treatment for adolescents to senior adults. As a full time, exempt Director of Pharmacy, you will oversee all pharmacy operations including planning, organizing, controlling, and supervising activities, according to hospital policies, standards of practice of the profession, and state and federal laws. You will recommend innovations in the practice and function of the pharmacy to hospital administration and carry out mutually agreed upon programs with assistance from a full support team. Primary Responsibilities Provide system-wide strategic leadership for pharmacy services across multiple hospitals and care settings, ensuring alignment with organizational goals Optimize and standardize medication use practices, including formulary management, clinical protocols, and medication safety programs Lead and develop pharmacy leadership teams, including hospital pharmacy directors and managers, ensuring consistency and accountability Ensure enterprise-wide regulatory and accreditation compliance, overseeing readiness for audits and inspections across all sites Oversee system-level financial performance, including contracting, purchasing strategies, and cost-reduction initiatives Collaborate with executive leadership, service lines, and external partners, supporting integrated care delivery and system priorities Drive innovation, scalability, and growth of pharmacy services, advancing technology, analytics, and new models of care across the health system Pharmacy Location: Located within Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital 1004 Pawlak Pkwy New Lenox, IL 60451 Hours of Operation: Monday through Friday 7:30am to 4pm and Saturdays and Sundays 7:30am to 1pm You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in. Required Qualifications B.S. or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy Current Licensed Pharmacist in Illinois in good standing Preferred Qualifications Experience using computer applications including pharmacy information systems, pharmacy software, word processing, and spreadsheets Thorough knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations governing pharmacy services. Proficient in the use and application of new medications and technology Knowledge of pathophysiology, interpretation of diagnostic criteria, pharmacokinetics and pharmacotherapeutics Demonstrated ability to effectively participate in interdisciplinary teams and committees Proven leadership, administration, human resources, and managerial skills Proven business acumen includes profit/loss understanding, contract negotiations, and GPO function Proven problem solving and analytical thinking ability Proven effective verbal and written communication skills Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $112,700 - $193,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
