Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced General Manager to support the operations of a single restaurant location within our hospitality group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, developing leadership skills, and a proven track record in assisting in the management of a team. This role will be pivotal in following our General Manager Non-Negotiables, restaurant audits, cultivating and maintaining the IEHG culture, and ensuring staffing levels meet our desired operational outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operational Excellence:
• • Support daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring the unit meets company standards in service, food quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in the implementation and execution of GM Non-Negotiables as outlined, ensuring thorough evaluations of operational performance, systems, and compliance with company standards.
  • Support regular restaurant audits to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and help develop actionable plans.
• Leadership & Team Development:
• • Assist in leading, mentoring, and developing the restaurant team, fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, and continuous improvement in line with IEHG’s values.
  • Participate in regular one-on-one meetings with team members, providing feedback, setting goals, and discussing personal and professional development.
  • Attend and contribute to weekly manager meetings, ensuring alignment on goals, initiatives, and expectations within the unit.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager/Director of Operations to identify leadership development opportunities and support training programs that align with the company’s growth objectives.
• Cultural Stewardship:
• • Uphold and promote IEHG’s mission statement and core values within the restaurant, ensuring that the company’s culture is reflected in every aspect of operations.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, bringing energy and positivity to daily operations, and setting an example for all team members in terms of service, hospitality, and community engagement.
• Staffing & Workforce Management:
• • Assist in maintaining optimal staffing levels to meet operational needs, guest expectations, and financial targets.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager/Director of Operations to develop staffing schedules that align with forecasted business levels and labor budgets.
  • Support the hiring, training, and retention of high-performing teams, ensuring all staff are equipped to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
  • Monitor labor costs and work with the General Manager/Director of Operations to implement strategies that optimize labor efficiency while maintaining service standards.
• Financial Accountability:
• • Assist in ensuring financial targets are met for the unit, with a focus on revenue growth, cost control, and profitability.
  • Review weekly and monthly financial reports, including inventory, budgets, and payroll, ensuring accuracy and identifying areas for financial improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations on forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning for the unit, providing support as needed.
• Health & Safety Compliance:
• • Ensure the unit complies with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety.
  • Address any safety or compliance issues promptly, working with your team to implement corrective actions and prevent future occurrences.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a General Manager, Supervisor, or similar role within the hospitality or food service industry.
• Developing leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including kitchen management, food production, customer service, and financial basics.
• Proficiency in inventory control and labor management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, guests, and stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on quality and operational excellence.
