This position performs appropriate clinical testing in compliance with department standards and documents in the EMR system**JOB FUNCTIONS**Performs and documents the following items in the electronic medical record.* Reason for visit* Chief complaint* History of present illness* Basic review of systems* Review systemic and ocular medications* Record allergies* Pharmacy information* Family, social, medical, and ocular history* Visual acuity at distance and near* Lensometry* Manual refraction* Confrontational fields* Humphrey visual fields* Virtual Reality (VR) visual fields* Amsler Grid visual fields* Tangent screen visual fields* Basic ocular motility* Pupillary evaluation* Ocular surface assessment* Eye drop administration* Pachymetry* Color vision test* Stereopsis test* Sensorimotor exam* Automated & manual perimetry* Insertion and removal of hard & soft contact lenses* Intraocular pressure such as Goldman, Tono-Pen, and I-Care* Provides support to providers which includes documentation in patient charts as required and directed for patient care.* Provides patient-centric care.* Complies with regulations and maintains patient confidentiality.* Follows best practices of patient safety, hand hygiene, and infection control.* Attends educational courses for ophthalmic personnel when assigned.* Demonstrates high quality of work through accuracy, timeliness, professionalism, and thoroughness.* Meets daily productivity goals.
