Class A CDL Local Truck Driver (Home Daily)

Agricultural Driver

This role will involve driving a semi and hopper with feed ingredients, grain, or feed. This position provides a great opportunity to contribute to the agricultural industry and allows drivers to be home every night.

*Opportunity for drivers to earn an estimate of $70,000 annually

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Load feed products, ingredients, and grain and deliver to the proper destination
• Transport and deliver product over distances in a safe, efficient, timely, and legal manner
• Deliver feed to the correct facility and bin site as designated by paperwork, ensure all feed is unloaded
• Provide tickets to all customers at time of delivery and/or scan QR code to designate delivery
• Must be able to back in and out of areas
• Unload feed with auger system as required
• Must maintain strict biosecurity including following the "WFR Biosecurity" policy for feed trucks
• Power-wash trucks, trailers, and disinfect interiors for all trucks driver utilizes, subject to spot inspections
• May need to climb feed bins as needed
• Hook and unhook trailers
• Install and remove tire chains as required by weather
• Inspect truck and trailer for defects before and after trips
• Complete all necessary paperwork, maintaining records
• Deal with delays, change, or unexpected events
• Put safety at the forefront, following all rules and laws
• Responsible to appropriately utilize WFR fuel cards
• Assist with other areas of the business as needed

Requirements

Education and Experience

• The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of driving experience

Qualifications

• Must have Class A CDL and valid medical card
• MVR must pass insurance requirements
• Will be required to participate in WFR's drug and alcohol testing program
• Must have a cell phone with internet capability
• Ability to drive in a safe manner
• Ability to follow all laws and regulations
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk and be on feet
• Ability to bend, reach, squat & kneel
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
• Capable of doing repeated actions
• Effectively communicate with team members

Work Environment

• Schedule: Monday- Friday. Occasional weekends may be required. Must work scheduled days and hours needed to get assigned loads completed on time. Must work full time.
• Environment: indoors and outdoors, plants and farm locations. Nosie level is usually moderate.
• Travel: This position will travel each day to designated destinations.
