Material Handler

Job TitleSupports the Cincinnati 2 machine shop by maintaining the continuous flow of materials, work-in-process, and machined parts throughout the manufacturing process. Ensures machinists have the materials and parts they need to maintain production flow and moves completed parts through required downstream processes, including deburring, dewaxing, and Shipping and Receiving when applicable. Contributes to a safe, organized, and efficient machine shop environment.What You'll Do...Follow manufacturing procedures, travelers, and work instructionsDeliver raw materials, components, and work-in-process to machinists as neededMonitor material and part flow throughout the machine shop to help prevent production delaysCollect completed parts from machinists and move them to the appropriate next processTransport parts to deburring and dewaxing operations when applicableMove processed parts to designated staging areas and ultimately to Shipping and ReceivingProperly identify, stage, and organize materials and work-in-process to maintain product traceabilityVerify materials and parts are moved to the correct location and correspond to the appropriate job or work orderHandle and transport machined parts carefully to prevent damage, contamination, or mix-upsAssist with receiving, unloading, staging, and movement of materials throughout Cincinnati 2Accurately complete required material movement, production, and inventory transactionsCommunicate material shortages, misplaced parts, damaged product, or other issues that could impact productionMaintain clean, organized, and accessible material staging areas using 5S principlesSafely operate material-handling equipment such as carts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts as authorizedSupport machinists and production personnel in meeting team production goals while maintaining quality standardsFollow all safety, quality, security, and material-handling proceduresYou have...EducationHigh school diploma or GED requiredExperienceTypically requires little to no related experienceManufacturing, assembly, or machine operation experience preferredSkills & CompetenciesMechanical aptitudeStrong attention to detailAbility to follow written work instructionsBasic computer skillsDependability and reliabilityTeam-oriented mindsetAbility to work independentlyThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
