Laser Operator

Job Description Job Description Duties& Responsibilities:
Produces product on time, to specification, at planned cost.
Organizes resources (materials, supplies, equipment, processes, labor, etc.) to meet customer demands.
Eliminates waste (defects, waiting, over production, over processing, inventory, motion, transportation, and unused employee ideas). Learn and practice “lean thinking”.
Leads and supports efforts to control and reduce cost.
Maintains a clean, safe and orderly workplace
Maintains equipment to insure its availability and performance
Insures that all safety, health and environmental procedures are followed. Collaborate with the safety director to improve practices. Investigate all incidents and implement controls to prevent re-occurrence.
Maintains cleanliness and order of work area to 5S standards.
Takes action to minimize loss and communicate effectively to isolate problems and control
operations.
Protects company property at job sites through proper security procedures
Acts decisively and demonstrate good judgment in the analysis and resolution of problems
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
Able to learn to setup of Laser cutting and Press Brake machinery.
Ability to operate all equipment in laser and fabrication area effectively.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills related to reading diagrams and drawings.
Strong verbal and written communication skill.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or GED.
One year experience operation of Laser, Press Brake machinery preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged times standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
Required frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Dayshift 5am-3:30pm 4-10 hour days
