Responsibilities The Clinical Abstractor is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and submitting accurate, reliable clinical data to program-specific registries. This role supports quality improvement initiatives through precise data screening, documentation, and entry into designated clinical databases. The Clinical Abstractor collaborates closely with physicians and other clinical staff to identify improvement opportunities and contribute to special projects. For positions assigned to the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery program, the Clinical Abstractor is responsible for identifying and abstracting 100% of all metabolic and bariatric procedures performed at the facility into the MBSAQIP Registry, ensuring complete and accurate reporting in accordance with program standards. Qualifications Education: Successful completion of a nursing education program required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Experience: 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse required. 5 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with the ability to work with interdepartmental teams preferred. Licenses and Certifications: RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California required. Disclaimers Pay ranges listed are an estimate and subject to change.
