Senior Fund Accountant

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Fund Accountant owns the accounting process for an assigned portfolio of funds — exercising independent judgment, reviewing junior work, and mentoring Associates along the way. This is a role for someone ready to take real ownership, not just execute a checklist.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

— Own the end-to-end accounting and reporting process for an assigned portfolio of funds, working directly with the Fund Accounting Manager to set priorities and timelines

— Review reconciliations, transaction processing, and supporting schedules prepared by Associates, resolving discrepancies using independent judgment rather than escalating routine variances

— Determine when a variance requires escalation to the Fund Accounting Manager versus resolution at your level

— Prepare investor statements and fund-level financial statements for Manager review and final sign-off

— Serve as a working point of contact for client questions on assigned funds

— Identify recurring process gaps or errors and recommend improvements rather than working around them

— Mentor and provide day-to-day guidance to Associate Fund Accountants

WHAT YOU BRING

— Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

— 3+ years of fund accounting or fund administration experience

— 2+ years of experience across multiple fund structures (Hedge Funds, Private Equity Funds, Venture Capital Funds, and etc.)

— Demonstrated experience independently resolving reconciliation discrepancies and reviewing junior work

— Strong Excel skills and sound judgment on when a variance is routine versus significant

NICE TO HAVE

— Hands-on experience with Allvue, Investran, or Advent Geneva

— CPA license or active progress toward one

— Prior mentoring experience
