Senior Phlebotomist

Responsibilities Serves patients by identifying the best method for retrieving blood and performing screening procedures. Verifies test requisitions and patient identification. Obtains blood specimens by performing venipunctures and finger sticks. Maintains specimen integrity by using aseptic techniques and following procedures. Tracks collected specimens and maintains quality results. Resolves unusual test orders by contacting relevant personnel. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications. Enhances department and hospital reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new requests. Requirements Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience. BS/BA degree (preferred). High School Diploma (or equivalent) required. Phlebotomy Certificate (if required by State). #J-18808-Ljbffr Jobtailor
