Nursing Unit Manager

$105,000–$120,000 per year + $2,000 Sign-On Bonus

About the Role

Hathorne Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an experienced Nursing Unit Manager to oversee the daily clinical operations of a nursing unit and lead a team of nurses and nursing assistants.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RN or LPN with skilled nursing experience who is ready to take the next step into a leadership or unit management role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily clinical operations of the assigned nursing unit

• Supervise, support, and provide direction to nurses and nursing assistants

• Ensure residents receive high-quality care in accordance with individualized care plans

• Monitor residents' conditions and communicate changes to physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary care team

• Participate in resident assessments and care plan meetings

• Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation

• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations and policies

• Assist with staff scheduling, training, performance management, and ongoing education

• Support infection control, quality assurance, and risk management initiatives

• Help prepare the unit and staff for state and federal surveys and regulatory inspections

• Promote a positive, collaborative, and resident-focused environment

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license in Massachusetts

• Previous skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience required

• Previous supervisory, charge nurse, or unit management experience strongly preferred

• Strong clinical assessment and leadership skills

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities

• Knowledge of skilled nursing regulations and survey requirements

• Ability to lead and support a nursing team in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Compensation & Benefits
