Job Summary:
An Operating Room Technician specializing in Certified Operating Room Technologies is sought for a position at a busy level II trauma center located in Kyle, Texas. The role involves facilitating the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures within the operating room. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of work.

Job Details:

• Location: Kyle, Texas
• Schedule: Tuesday through Friday, 10-hour days, from 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM, with on-call rotations including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) Provider certification obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date; Surgical Technician credential from either the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire or job transfer date, or from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained within 6 months (180 days) of hire or transfer; High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience; Licensure/certification/registration requirements fulfilled
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in orthopedics, trauma, general/gynecology, urology, DaVinci robotics, vascular, and cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) experience preferred
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The facility operates a busy high-level trauma center with 8 operating rooms, no floating to other units, and utilizes Cerner electronic medical records system. The operating room team includes PCTS, three supervisors, and team leads, with sky blue scrub attire.
