Sawyer – $20-$21/hr (Chicopee, MA)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Sawyer to support production operations by cutting lumber and materials to precise specifications. This role is essential in ensuring accurate components for structural assemblies in a manufacturing setting.
Responsibilities:
- Operate saw equipment to cut wood materials based on specifications
- Read and interpret cut sheets, measurements, and work orders
- Ensure accuracy and consistency of cuts
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines
- Assist with material handling and general production support as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating saws or woodworking equipment preferred
- Ability to read a tape measure and work with precise measurements
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet throughout the shift
- Manufacturing or construction background is a plus
Schedule & Pay:
- $20-$21/hour
- 2nd Shift
- Full-time, with overtime opportunities
