Why Our Licensed Veterinary Technicians Love It Here Four-day workweek with 10-hour shifts Only one weekend day required Sign-on bonus available for qualified Licensed Veterinary Technicians Supportive, collaborative team that genuinely enjoys working together Opportunities to fully utilize your Licensed Veterinary Technician skills Leadership that values your ideas and encourages professional growth Mentorship and ongoing training to support your career development Diverse caseload in a busy multi-doctor practice Positive, family-oriented culture where teamwork comes first What Our Licensed Veterinary Technicians Do Triage patients and obtain thorough medical histories, vital signs, and patient assessments Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and dental procedures Provide compassionate, credentialed nursing care from patient intake through discharge Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and diagnostic sample collection Obtain high-quality diagnostic radiographs Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for reference laboratories Prepare patients and equipment for surgical and dental procedures Induce and monitor anesthesia while maintaining complete and accurate records Provide attentive nursing care throughout patient recovery Educate clients regarding preventive care, medications, treatment plans, and discharge instructions Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation Keep treatment, surgical, and exam areas clean, organized, and well stocked Collaborate with veterinarians and support staff to provide exceptional patient care and client service What You'll Bring Current LVT, CVT, or RVT credential in good standing—required Eligibility to practice as a credentialed Veterinary Technician in Hawaii Previous hands-on experience in a veterinary hospital Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills Confidence with patient handling, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory procedures Experience with anesthesia induction and monitoring, surgery, dentistry, radiology, and nursing care Strong client-education and communication abilities Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented attitude Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment Commitment to maintaining professional credentials and continuing education Genuine passion for veterinary medicine and exceptional patient care The Extras You'll Feel A team that respects your credentials and trusts you to use your skills Leaders who appreciate your contributions and encourage new ideas Mentorship and ongoing training to help you continue advancing your career Opportunities to strengthen your skills across a diverse caseload Meaningful relationships with clients, patients, and coworkers A workplace where your authentic self is welcomed and valued The satisfaction of making a real difference in your community every day A flexible approach to compensation that reflects your skill set, credentials, and future performance 401(k) matching & Roth Retirement Savings Plan Flexible Spending Account (full-time only) 529 Savings Plan Tuition Support Program (full-time only) Health insurance, including medical, dental, and vision (full-time only) Supplemental insurance, including accident, critical illness, hospital, short- and long-term disability, legal plan, and employee, spouse, and child-dependent life insurance (full-time only) Up to three weeks of full pay for the birth or adoption of a child (full-time employees only; available after one year of service).
