Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nutritional care to patients with specific needs and those at nutritional risk, ensuring effective assessment, planning, and documentation of nutritional interventions. Acts as a clinical resource to the healthcare team, delivering safe and effective medical nutrition therapy.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Conducts initial and ongoing nutritional assessments of patients to identify those at risk.
  
  
• 
  Develops and implements personalized nutrition care plans based on patient needs.
  
  
• 
  Monitors patient responses to nutritional interventions and adjusts plans accordingly.
  
  
• 
  Educates patients, families, and healthcare staff on nutrition-related topics and care strategies.
  
  
• 
  Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
  
  
• 
  Documents all interventions, assessments, and patient responses accurately in the medical record.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a Bachelors Degree in food and nutrition or equivalent.
  
  
• 
  Possess a Masters Degree (required if eligibility for examination began on or after 01/01/2024).
  
  
• 
  Registered Dietitian (RD) credential required within 6 months of residency completion.
  
  
• 
  Prefer recent clinical dietitian experience.
  
  
• 
  Complete a dietetic internship or equivalent.
  
  
• 
  Current BLS certification and valid state nursing license required.
