Manufacturing Team Lead

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Model and embed our core value to stay safe and put the health and well-being of our teams first. Responsible for hands‑on training and providing guidance to all Production Associates. Ensure Production Associates accurately set up and operate all facility machines to meet production needs while keeping safety top of mind. Perform hourly continuous quality checks and audits on all facility machines. Handle any discrepancies and assist in addressing any issues. Report any issues and/or concerns to their direct supervisor. Load coils onto the uncoiler; weld the coil properly and safely. Prepare proper labels (i.e., Made in the USA, Haydon/Anvil, material profile) for production and ensure stamps are correct for the products needed. Remove welded and unwelded strut from mill with a forklift then bundle, strap, and package. Perform roll changes. Assist with the Cutter and Die changes. Ensure Haydon or Anvil labels are filled out correctly and placed on completed bundles. Audit and verify completed labels. Weld together completed strut pieces to create a reinforced strut. Assemble components to create parts for rooftops. Punch holes in strut for different requirements and/or specifications using our secondary press machines. Operate cutting equipment to make special‑order lengths of our regular style strut. Maintain cleanliness of area according to 5S principles to provide a safe and effective working space. Support with on‑the‑job training for other production associates. Support in all areas as needed and requested by supervisor or another member of the management team. Professional Qualifications Must be able to use measuring devices. Able to work in a fast‑paced environment and ensure accuracy. Commitment to safety and to adhere to all safety rules. Demonstrates ability to work in a team, treat colleagues with respect and has a high level of accountability/punctuality. Willingness to be cross‑trained and rotate through all business functions as required by business needs. Proven record of strong attendance. High School Diploma or equivalent. Good written and verbal communication skills. Basic computer skills.
