Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This PRN (as needed) contract role offers the flexibility to work with a diverse range of young learners in a supportive educational environment near Laurens, SC. Working closely with school staff and families, you’ll help students thrive by addressing mobility, strength, and motor skills, fostering greater independence and confidence in their daily activities.

Qualifications:

• Valid Physical Therapist license in South Carolina
• Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred
• Ability to work effectively with preschool and primary-age students
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators and caregivers
• Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation requirements
• Comfortable adapting to a flexible, as-needed schedule

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ physical therapy needs in collaboration with educational teams
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address student goals
• Provide direct therapy services for preschoolers and some primary age students
• Collaborate with special education and classroom staff to support student success
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to relevant documentation
• Monitor progress, adjust interventions, and communicate updates with families and staff
• Handle caseload and scheduling requirements according to district needs
