Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine patient needs and develop effective treatment plans.
- Regularly facilitate communication among team members, clients’ families, and other stakeholders to provide updates on progress and collaborate on care strategies.
- Engage in both in-office and home visits as necessary, utilizing various approaches like direct observation and data analysis to support patient assessments.
- Attend and actively contribute to Interdisciplinary Team Meetings, ensuring that every client's treatment strategy aligns with our organizational goals and ethical standards.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of client interactions and treatment plans, ensuring accessibility for pertinent healthcare professionals.
- Conduct follow-up assessments and adjust treatment plans as needed to respond to evolving client needs.
- Design and implement training materials for staff to enhance proficiency in program execution and documentation.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will work with a wide range of clients, including adults and youth, addressing various mental health concerns. Our diverse clientele requires individualized treatment approaches that take into account each person's background, experiences, and needs. You will play an essential role in bridging gaps between our clients and the mental health community, working diligently to facilitate their growth and recovery.
Qualifications
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
- Current, active, and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia.
- A minimum of two years of relevant counseling experience, preferably in clinical settings.
- Demonstrated proficiency in therapeutic practices, with a strong preference for experience in family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse treatment, or trauma-informed care.
- Deep understanding of legal and ethical standards within the counseling profession.
- Proven ability to build rapport and engage effectively with diverse populations.
- Experience collaborating within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software and technology relevant to counseling and patient management.
Preferred Experience
Specialization in areas such as family dynamics, addiction counseling, or trauma recovery is highly advantageous. Familiarity with assessment tools and evidence-based practices related to behavioral health treatments will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Your ability to adapt therapeutic techniques to meet individual client needs will be vital for success.
Compensation and Benefits
- Competitive annual salary range of $80,000–100,000 based on experience and caseload.
