Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments of patients Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with mental health disorders Prescribe and manage medications for patients Provide psychotherapy and counseling to individuals, families, and groups Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions and treatment options Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records Requirements Valid Nurse Practitioner license with specialization in psychiatric-mental health Master's degree in Nursing or related field Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Experience working in a psychiatric or mental health setting Knowledge of utilization review processes and procedures Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality Proficiency in Spanish and English medical terminology and documentation Strong interpersonal and communication skills Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
