Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab/EP position requiring a minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience and Epic proficiency, with on-call responsibilities and floating expectations across sister facilities.

Details

• Work setting is a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab within a hospital environment
• Procedures include cardiac catheterization, EP lab, STEMI intervention, stent placement, biopsies (GI, GU/Renal), peripheral vascular procedures, and interventional radiology
• Required skills include IV therapy, central line insertion/management, blood product administration, cardioversion, hypothermia protocol, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, procedural sedation monitoring, sheath removal/monitoring, and pulmonary studies/procedures
• Shift is Days, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00–17:30)
• On-call requirement is a minimum of one weekday and one weekend per month; additional call days and weekends may occur based on staffing and vacation needs
• Shift length may vary between 8-hour and 10-hour shifts depending on staffing
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Floating between sister facilities within the state is expected

Requirements

• Active WA state RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of cath lab experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
• 2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty are required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Clean background required; Nursys or background hits are not accepted

Additional Information

• Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer RTO may not be granted
• Refusal to float between sister facilities may result in termination of assignment
• Former permanent employees of any Providence/Swedish facility must have been separated for at least 3 months before being eligible for a travel contract
• Former permanent employees are not eligible if residing within 50 miles of the submitting facility
• Candidates must disclose any previous work history at a Providence facility (permanent, travel, or per-diem), including location and dates
