How you’ll make an impact in this role
- Partner closely with clinical teams to pulse-check discharges and transfers. Be the strategic mind planning bed assignments to keep the hospital’s "heartbeat" steady and efficient.
- Act as a critical gatekeeper by reviewing admissions for medical necessity. Use your clinical judgment to ensure every patient is matched with the unit and resources best suited to their recovery.
- Serve as a mentor and guide for our Admissions Coordinators. Provide the real-time direction and support they need to navigate complex patient access challenges.
- Dive into bed management metrics to spot trends and propose innovative solutions that improve our system's performance.
What minimum requirements you’ll need
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.
Education:
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
What additional preferences we're seeking
- Must be able to meet the standard PRN minimum of one 12-hour night shift (7pm-7am) every two weeks with a rotating weekend and holiday schedule, and flexibility to occasionally work 7pm-12am.
