Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT(R)(CT) certification and at least 1 year of CT experience in an acute care hospital setting.

Details

• Acute care hospital CT department
• 3x12 hour day shifts, Wednesday through Friday, 9:30 AM to 10:00 PM
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of CT experience in a hospital setting required
• Associate's degree required
• ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certifications required
• BLS (AHA) required — must not expire prior to start date
• Fluoroscopy certification required for candidates practicing in the state of Colorado
• State license required if applicable
• Proficiency with CT imaging techniques, protocols, and equipment operation
• Experience with contrast administration protocols and contrast injector operation
• Proficiency with electronic imaging including image viewing, transfer, and manipulation
• DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform a variety of diagnostic CT procedures using ionizing radiation, including contrast media administration as ordered by a physician and under radiologist or physician supervision
• Responsible for proper patient identification, order verification, and patient preparation prior to exams
• Review and evaluate images for quality, clarity, and accuracy to ensure all necessary anatomical structures are captured
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment for patients and staff
• Provide patient education regarding exam procedures and contrast administration safety
• Coordinate patient care and communicate pertinent information to other care providers following procedures
• Maintain accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and any adverse reactions
• Radiation badge required — provided by the supplier
• Permanent staff must have been separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
