The Network Engineer II reports to the Manager, Software and Services, and is responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the Landis+Gyr system’s network engineering infrastructure. Network Engineering Responsibilities Installing, configuring, and maintaining all network engineering equipment. Configure, maintain, and document all network elements supporting customer connectivity. Maintain and troubleshoot WAN/LAN and Cloud network connectivity. Work in tandem with operation and cloud teams to identify and implement the most optimal solutions for the company. Company Values Supports and adheres to company core values. Represents company in a positive, professional manner when working with internal and external customers. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field. Experience (6+ years) Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing. Experience with Cisco, WAN/LAN, routing and switching network design and troubleshooting. Experience with Linux/Unix/Windows. Experience with Cloud networking configuration and troubleshooting. Experience with Network Load Balancer installation and management. Experience with Network Firewall installation and management. Experience with IP Address Management (IPAM) for IPv4 and IPv6. Experience with Change Management process and procedures. Experience with technical documentation—network drawings and process/procedure. Preferred Qualifications Personal computer knowledge. Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite. Keyboard/typing skills. Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing. Regular contact with employees, external customers, and/or industry contacts. Pay is in the range of $74,200 – $100,287 per year. The position is eligible for a 401(k) match and consideration for an annual bonus. Base salary depends on qualifications, experience, skills, education, and certifications.
