About the Role:

As a Line Cook at Upstream Brewing, you will be an integral part of our culinary team and play a crucial role in maintaining the exceptional quality of our food. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring that they are presented in an appealing manner and meet our high standards. Your ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment will be crucial to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients, such as meat, poultry, fish, and vegetables for cooking
• Follow recipes and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and high-quality standards
• Cook and plate a wide range of menu items according to established guidelines
• Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure prompt and efficient service
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation procedures to guarantee compliance with health and safety regulations
• Assist in food inventory management and stock rotation
• Keep up with industry trends and continuously strive to improve your culinary skills

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working as a Line Cook, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques and procedures
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and dedication to food quality
• Current food handler’s permit or willingness to obtain one
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
