Tool & Die Engineering Supervisor

Location: Middlesex County, CT
Salary: $90,000-$110,000

Job Duties & Responsibilities
*Supervise the Tool & Die Department, providing leadership, coaching, scheduling, and oversight of preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
*Oversee tooling performance by reviewing die designs, approving new and modified tooling, supporting die tryouts, troubleshooting production issues, and optimizing manufacturing processes.
*Partner with engineering, production, suppliers, and cross-functional teams on automation projects, equipment upgrades, tooling procurement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
*Drive safety, quality, and operational excellence through root cause analysis, KPI reporting, cost reduction efforts, and process improvements.

Required Skills & Experience
*Minimum of 5 years of experience in Tool & Die, metal stamping, manufacturing engineering, or a related industrial manufacturing environment.
*Strong knowledge of metal stamping dies, tooling maintenance, manufacturing processes, engineering drawings, and CAD software including SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
*Proven leadership, project management, troubleshooting, and communication skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
*Ability to work effectively in both office and manufacturing environments while supporting safety, quality, and production objectives.

Preferred Skills & Experience
*Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Tool & Die Technology, or a related discipline.
*Previous supervisory experience and knowledge of powder coating processes, automation, and continuous improvement methodologies.
