Position Overview

We are seeking Bilingual Managed Care Specialists for a hybrid contract opportunity in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Managed Care Specialist will support eligibility determination, case management, client communication, documentation, research, and administrative activities. The position requires strong communication, organization, critical-thinking, customer-service, and technical skills.

Candidates will work with multiple systems and databases, gather and document case information, communicate with internal and external stakeholders, manage assigned casework, and ensure information is documented accurately and within established deadlines.

This is a hybrid position requiring candidates to be local to Middle Tennessee and available to report onsite in Nashville according to the team's schedule and business needs.

Required QualificationsEducation

Candidates must have one of the following:

• Bachelor's degree; OR

• Associate degree.

Bilingual Requirement

• Bilingual candidates are required.

• Candidates must be able to communicate professionally in English and an additional language.

• The specific second-language requirement should be confirmed during the recruiting process.

Location Availability

• Must currently be local to Middle Tennessee .

• Must be able to commute to Nashville when onsite attendance is required.

• Must be able to work a hybrid schedule.

• Must be available Monday through Friday during standard business hours.

• Must be able to complete the required training schedule.

• Daily attendance during training is required.

• Candidates should not have preplanned PTO during the training period.

Professional Skills

Preferred Qualifications

The following experience is preferred but not required:

• Background or education in Paralegal Studies .

• Experience working in a legal environment .

• Customer-service experience.

• Call-center experience.

• Experience with healthcare, managed care, member services, benefits, eligibility, or case-management environments.

• Experience conducting client interviews.

• Experience maintaining case documentation.

• Experience conducting research and analyzing documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Determine individual and family eligibility for healthcare-related programs.

• Assist with coordinating and communicating schedules to internal and external stakeholders.

• Conduct client interviews.

• Gather facts and information.

• Compile case-related information and data.

• Provide recommendations based on collected case information.

• Manage assigned casework in a timely manner.

• Maintain accurate and complete case documentation.

• Work toward timely case resolution.

• Conduct legal research as required.

• Review and analyze legal documents and papers.

• Assist with drafting legal documents.

• Accurately document research findings and case information.

• Work efficiently across multiple databases to obtain and verify information.

• Attend workgroup meetings.

• Participate actively in team discussions.

• Provide support to leadership as necessary.

• Maintain accurate records and meet established deadlines.

Training Requirements

Training is extensive and may last up to six weeks .

Training may be:

• Virtual

• In-office

• A combination of virtual and onsite training

The format may vary depending on supervisor and business requirements.

Attendance during training is mandatory. Candidates must be available every scheduled training day to develop the proficiency required for the position.

Preplanned PTO during the training period cannot be accommodated.

Work Arrangement

This is a hybrid position based in Nashville, Tennessee .

Employees will work both remotely and onsite according to the team's schedule, position requirements, and business needs.

Candidates must be local to Middle Tennessee and able to commute to the Nashville office when required.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a bilingual professional with strong customer-service, case-management, documentation, and communication skills who is comfortable working in a structured, deadline-driven environment.

A strong candidate will be comfortable interviewing individuals, gathering and documenting information, managing multiple cases, navigating multiple computer systems and databases, and communicating professionally with internal and external stakeholders.

Candidates with previous experience in healthcare, managed care, eligibility determination, member services, customer service, call centers, legal support, case management, or paralegal environments may be particularly well aligned with the position.

The ideal candidate will also be highly organized, detail-oriented, technically proficient, dependable, and able to manage competing priorities with minimal supervision.
