We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to support a hospital in Winston-Salem, NC. The therapist will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment and care for patients with breathing disorders across adult and pediatric populations as assigned. This role includes work in critical care settings and may involve care for post-surgical, pneumonia, COPD, asthma, and emergency department patients.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science.
• Current North Carolina state respiratory license in good standing.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy critical care experience.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Pediatrics/NICU applicants must have PALS and NRP certifications.
• Experience with high-acuity or Level 1 trauma center environments preferred.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record preferred.
• Preferred equipment experience: Servo U, Servo Air, The Vest, Volara, Aerogen, Heated High Flow, cough assist. For pediatrics, HFJV and HFOV experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in teaching hospital or academic medical center settings.
• Lead therapist or preceptor experience preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift time: 18:30 – 07:00.
• Standard hours per week: 36.
• Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks.
• Weekend rotation: every other weekend.
• Holiday expectation: travelers will work 75% of holidays.
• Orientation: 1–2 days departmental new employee orientation.
• Floating: Assignment based on traveler experience and unit needs; no mandatory floating to other facilities.
• Scrub color: pewter (charcoal grey).
• Parking: free.
