Position: Neuro ICU Travel Nurse

Shift: Day/Night rotation, every other weekend Rotation every 4 weeks**THIS IS ESTIMATED BASED ON UNIT NEEDS. **THE MANAGER WILL PROVIDE FINAL CLARIFICATION DURING THE INTERVIEW.

Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, totaling 36 hours per week

Patient Ratio: Estimated 1:1-2

Floating: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity

Experience Required: 2 years of Neuro ICU Experience

Certifications Required: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS (AHA Certifications only)

Skills Required: IV Start, Telemetry, Ventilators, Intracranial Pressure Monitoring

EHR Experience: Epic

Daily Census: - Number of Visits Per Day: - Number of Rooms: - Number of Beds: - Additional Unit Information Interdisciplinary Support: Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Social Services, Lift Teams, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary Patient Diagnoses: The patient population includes individuals with ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, subarachnoid hemorrhages, seizures, neuromuscular diseases such as myasthenia gravis and Guillain-Barr syndrome, meningitis, and post-operative neurosurgery patients undergoing procedures such as spinal surgery, craniotomies, and cerebrovascular surgery. Special Procedures/Unit Details: Bedside procedures such as tracheostomy, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG), Central Line and arterial line placement, EVD placement. Special Equipment: Patients requiring invasive neuromonitoring such as EVD monitoring and ICP monitoring. Mechanically ventilated patients, EEG monitoring.
