Assignment of job responsibilities are delegated by the medical provider, RN, Charge Nurse, Nurse Manager or Resource Manager assigned to supervise the Care Assistant and in accordance with this job description.At Children's Mercy, we are committed to ensuring that everyone feels welcomed within our walls. If you have any concerns about receiving these vaccines, medical and/or religious exemptions can be further discussed with Human Resources.ResponsibilitiesProvides supportive patient care.Assists in the maintenance of a safe environment and promotes efficient and safe operations.Performs clerical functions.Attends education programs, unit meetings and assigned committees.Shares responsibility for teaching and orientation of new personnel (within own skill level).QualificationsHS diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years experience 1 year of experience in patient or customer facing rolesGraduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferredOne of the following required upon hire: Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)BLS certification Required Upon HireStarting PayOur pay ranges are market competitive.
