QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR (QC INSPECTOR) | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:

Location: Sumter SC 29153 - 100% on-site
Payrate: $16.50/hr
Required Availability: Full-Time | Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Rotating schedule: 3 days on, 2 days off and 2 days on, 3 days off
Weekend work required as part of the rotation

QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR (QC INSPECTOR) | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:

The Quality Control Inspector (QC Inspector) is responsible for performing inspections and testing activities to ensure products meet established quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance

A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR (QC INSPECTOR) | RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform inspections and testing in accordance with established procedures and quality standards
Analyze inspection results and identify nonconforming products or materials
Determine product disposition based on inspection findings
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines
Interpret engineering drawings, geometric dimensions, and tolerances
Utilize precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment
Document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records
Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality programs
Follow equipment maintenance and calibration procedures

QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR (QC INSPECTOR) | REQUIREMENTS :

Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
1+ years of quality control, inspection, manufacturing, or related experience
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
Experience using precision measuring tools such as: Calipers, Micrometers, Pin gauges, Gauge blocks, Optical measurement equipment
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to follow detailed procedures and quality standards

Preferred Skills

Experience in a manufacturing environment
Familiarity with calibrated inspection equipment
Previous involvement in continuous improvement activities
Understanding of quality systems and compliance standards

Additional Requirements

Eye exam required
Steel-toe shoes required
Ability to work a rotating overnight schedule, including weekends
